PSN began as a home-based business in 1990. The company moved into a small office in 1996 and has expanded several times since then.
PSN presently employs 12 office staff, as well as numerous registered nurses and social workers working as short-term and long-term employees at insurance and hospital sites.
Some of the nation’s largest health care organizations utilize PSN nurses to meet staffing needs in managed healthcare. PSN consultants also have successfully guided dozens of companies through URAC and NCQA accreditation preparation.
The company, licensed by the State of Maryland as a nurse staffing agency, reached more than $2 million in revenue last year.
PSN staffs most frequently in the Mid-Atlantic region, and often is asked to recruit and place healthcare professionals around the country. We maintain contact with experienced nurses and social workers who are available for work almost anywhere in the U.S.
Over the years, PSN has completed large HEDIS data collection projects throughout the Eastern Seabord, utilizing nurses in numerous states for nationally-known health plans.
PSN was named Employer of the Year by Montgomery County (MD) Business & Professional Women in recognition of PSN’s flexible scheduling and support for women and their families. The company received a Governor's Citation for the honor and has been named by DiversityBusiness.com as a Top Woman-Owned Business in Maryland for the past several years.
