Leapfrog Hospital Survey

Survey

What is the Leapfrog Hospital Survey?

The Leapfrog Hospital Survey is the gold standard for comparing hospitals’ performance on the national standards of safety, quality, and efficiency that are most relevant to consumers and purchasers of care. Hospitals that participate in The Leapfrog Hospital Survey achieve hospital-wide improvements that translate into millions of lives and dollars saved. Leapfrog’s purchaser members use Survey results to inform their employees and purchasing strategies.  Currently, approximately 1,300 hospitals participate in the Survey.

PSN consulting services can help you track safe practices to ensure they are embedded in the hospitals operations and not lost in the hectic pace of providing patient care.  For instance, did you know?

  • Implementing Leapfrogs safe practices can reduce harm and save lives.
  • The practices are aimed at leadership, teamwork, preventing illness and infections, improving medication management and provide approaches that assist hospitals in radiology and lab services.
  • Hospital survey participants utilize consensus-based nationally endorsed standards, resulting in the efficiency and coordination of hospital public reporting.
  • Purchasers and health plans can promote the Safe Practices Score by educating employees and consumers by calling attention to the importance of selecting the right hospital.
  • Board members, volunteers and donors can be influential with healthcare providers about the need to extend their efforts in safety and quality.
  • Purchasers can contract for specific safety and quality improvements with their healthcare providers and health plans.
