We will guide your preparation for Joint Commission Accreditation. The Joint Commission has been granted the deeming authority by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for home care organizations. PSN works with durable medical equipment vendors to assist with simplifying the accreditation process.

Having Joint Commission accreditation can help enhance your organization’s marketability, overall quality of patient care and provide both effective and efficient business operation.

PSN can provide expert consulting services for Joint Commission Accreditation preparation in any of the following areas:

  • Assist with completion of the Joint Commission application and self-assessment activities
  • Review and/or assist in writing policies and procedures compliant with the appropriate Joint Commission standards
  • Assess documentation compliance to the Joint Commission standards
  • Make on-site visits to perform a Gap Assessment and develop a plan of corrective action
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for Sentinel Events and any “Near Misses”
  • Provide a continuous plan for monitoring compliance
  • Review job descriptions, contract elements, forms and other information necessary to demonstrate compliance to standards
  • Provide assistance with developing various programs required by the Joint Commission, including quality performance improvement with tailored databases to measure compliance to standards, patient safety, emergency preparedness/management and infection control
