  • Our client, a large and nationally-known managed care provider, is seeking a nurse with managed health care experience for an exciting role as a Clinical Benefits Specialist. The qualified candidate must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse capable of interfacing with physicians and senior-level executives.

    The Clinical Benefits Specialist:

    • serves as a subject matter expert on benefits requiring clinical nursing knowledge or experience
    • assists in the development of benefit documentation and processes
    • acts as liaison with the legal department to ensure clarification of policies and contractual language
    • possesses strong internal market orientation

    This is a full time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.



    • At least 3 years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a managed care operations setting
    • Knowledge of industry standards
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Healthcare benefits and/or insurance experience preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
    • Documentation and/or coding background preferred

     

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Maryland is mandatory
