  • On behalf of our client, we are evaluating candidates for the full-time, twelve-month position of Nursing Instructor. The Nursing Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction in nursing fundamentals and med-surg nursing to students in the classroom, the nursing skills lab and the clinical environment. The position begins immediately.

    Our client’s rapidly growing campus near St Louis Missouri offers a unique opportunity for MSN-prepared nurses to enter the burgeoning field of nursing education. Nursing instructors will teach students who are on the path towards earning the Associate Degree in Nursing.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops daily lesson plans from approved curriculum
    • Completes professional development and in-service activities in accordance with college standards
    • Maintains expertise in subject area and recommends improvements in curriculum design
    • Participates in nursing faculty meetings, course work support, certification programs, and student professional associations

    • Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution is required (MSN).
    • Minimum of three years practice as a Registered Nurse.
    • Nursing clinical experience must be relevant to specific teaching areas.
    • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills are required.
    • Ability to utilize different methods of instruction.
    • Experience in organizing and writing reports and presentations.
    • Proven experience in critical thinking and problem solving.
    • Must be available to work morning, day and evening hours.
