A well-known postsecondary institution is seeking a full-time Nursing Program Chair to lead its established Associate of Science in Nursing program at its campus in the St. Petersburg area. We are also seeking qualified candidates for campuses in Miami, Orlando, Fort Myers, and Bradenton!
The Nursing Program Chair must develop an in-depth understanding of state and organizational rules and regulations, and establish quality presence with the Florida Board of Nursing. The Nursing Program Chair will supervise faculty and instructors, and meet with them regularly to discuss and evaluate curriculum and policy issues. Using the institution's implementation guidelines, the Nursing Program Chair will provide administrative leadership in all aspects of the nursing program, including budget development, establishing clinical sites, and student affairs.
This is a full-time 12-month position offering a competitive salary and generous benefits. -
- MSN required; doctorate in nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years teaching in a post-secondary school of nursing
- Previous supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Florida board of nursing applications and national nursing accreditation processes strongly preferred
- Nursing education administration experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, internet, and course management software
- Demonstrated creative, innovative, and problem solving skills
